The IT Department strives
to integrate information technology into the curriculum and prepare pupils
to face the challenges of the 21st century. Various software programmes
which are related to the respective levels and subjects are readily available.
Computer-based lessons are conducted to enhance the learning process.
A series of workshops have been conducted to boost the confidence and competency of teachers in using the computer as a teaching and learning tool. Teachers have embraced IT and are learning to harness its power. Under the IT Masterplan, every school will be networked to allow courseware, the Internet and digitised media resources to be accessed in every classroom and in all learning areas. Plans to equip every classroom with computers are also in the pipeline. IT offers the opportunity for pupils to think critically, learn independently and communicate effectively. The IT Department is helping the school to exploit this opportunity. |
